Ski Trips resort

Rusty Bindings and the other clubs of the BAC organize trips to resorts in Utah, Colorado, Canada, Mammoth, and many other more exotic locations. These trips include discount pricing and package deals and are always a lot of fun. We also feature regular trips to Lake Tahoe with cabins available for rent, discount lift tickets, and an occasional evening dance/party or BBQ on the slopes. Come check out our club to get more information.

Welcome to Racing Dan and Paul

For those who are new to our club or considering joining our racing program we race as a group in the Singles League. There are 5 clubs in Singles League in the Bay Area. Rusty Bindings has won 11 of the last 11 years. Remember our "racing" is done on four different hills. It is for all ability levels and you will be grouped with people at your same ability level. We even set one course on the bunny hill for the beginners and their wicked wedge turns. You take one timed run and then spend the rest of the day free skiing. No, that doesn’t mean the skiing is free, it just means you aren’t racing or in a lesson. And remember...
Racing will give you more confidence and make you a better skier.

But I don’t know how to race

Trust me...ANYONE can race. If you can snowplow, you can race. You will never be put in a race level that is above your skiing ability. Many new racers don't realize it but beginner and intermediate racers usually account for more points than the upper level racers.

Helmets

Our league mandates helmets for racing. I use one. It keeps my head warm and dry and so far, knock on wood, intact. One of our racers fell and got a concussion while free skiing without one on a fairly easy hill. We often have a vendor offer them at a discount to our members. Stay tuned for details.

Race Clinics

Many of the Tahoe resorts have added racing clinics for adults to their ski schools. Most are available Fri. and weekends. They are usually about $25-35 for 3 hours of lessons at different ability levels. They usually alternate slalom and giant slalom. Some are: Sugar Bowl, Diamond Peak, Northstar, and Alpine. There are several on the race calendar this season.

Fundraising

Our club raises thousands of dollars every year to help support the Disabled Sports USA program. We organize many different fundraisers throughout the year which help to provide ski equipment and ski training to those who might not otherwise be able to enjoy the sport. Rusty Bindings also supports We Care Services for Children.
